International Series Macau presented by Wynn offers action on and off the course during tournament week

The inaugural International Series Macau presented by Wynn takes place from 14-17 March, and the Asian Tour-sanctioned tournament promises to bring world-class entertainment both on the Macau Golf & Country Club course and at the dedicated Fan Village, located at Wynn Palace.

Fan Village

The team at Wynn Palace have laid on something special, with a wide range of activities from Thursday to Sunday. Golf fans of all ages can put their skills to the test in a mini-golf tournament, and there’s also the chance to win some amazing prizes with a longest drive and nearest the pin ‘beat the pro’ challenge on the simulator.

A range of fun activities to keep everyone entertained include a golf-themed selfie booth to capture special memories of the day, and a competition to guess the number of golf balls in the Wynn Golf Figure.

Golf fans will also have the chance to meet the stars, with select players making Fan Village appearances at 6pm daily.

Tantalizing local food and beverages will be on the menu all day, with food trucks operated by Macau SMEs 853 Burgers and BomBoochKombucha, and fans can enjoy a live broadcast of all the action from Macau Golf & Country Club at The Spiegeltent daily.

Throughout the week, golf-themed desserts and cocktails will be served at Buns & Bubbles and Café Esplanada at Wynn Macau and Wynn Palace, Sweets and Wing Lei Bar at Wynn Palace, and Cinnebar at Wynn Macau.

For those looking to make an evening of it, the Palace Reserve Club at Wynn Palace is the place to be, with live bands and open mic nights throughout tournament week from 9pm to midnight.

LIV Golf legends

International Series Macau presented by Wynn brings some of the biggest names in world golf to the Macau Golf & Country Club.

Fresh from the LIV Golf Hong Kong event, over 20 of the stars of the LIV Golf League will be in attendance, giving golf fans another chance to catch world-class talent in action.

From Ryder Cup legends Sergio Garcia, Ian Poulter, Patrick Reed and Graeme McDowell through to International Series Oman champion Carlos Ortiz and David Puig, tournament winner at the IRS Prima Malaysian Open earlier this month, there will be no shortage of marquee groups to follow.

Former winners

Anirban Lahiri of Crushers GC, team winners recently at LIV Golf Jeddah, is no stranger to the Macau Golf & Country Club course – the Indian star won there in 2014, finished T2 the following year and narrowly lost out in a play-off in 2016.

Gaganjeet Bhullar, the Indian player with an incredible 11 Asian Tour titles under his belt, won here twice, as did Scott Hend, the Australian veteran with 10 Asian Tour titles to his name.

Local heroes

With 10 elevated events this season sanctioned by the Asian Tour, The International Series provides a direct pathway to the LIV Golf League for players from all over the world through its season-long rankings system.

It also offers up-and-coming golfers from the region the opportunity to play against the world’s best, and the $US 2 million tournament this week will give promising young Macau amateur Ngai Si and professional Pui In Hun the chance to mix with some of the biggest names in world golf.

Other promising stars from the region include Taichi Kho, the Asian Games gold medal winner for Hong Kong, compatriot Matthew Cheung, and Chinese amateur Sampson Zheng. Li Haotong, who finished third at the 2017 Open Championship, leads the Chinese charge for glory.
